Two residential camps are being offered for aspiring actors at Camp Destiny, produced by Atlanta Workshop Players. Camps are open to beginning and professional students between the ages of 7 and 18.
Residential camps are being held June 17-22 and June 24-29. An Advanced Production Session for ages 10-18 will be presented July 8-21. All camps will be located at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta.
"Destiny camps include instruction in TV/film acting, musical theater, classical theater, improvisation, dance, circus arts and more. Instructors are nationally known film, television, and Broadway personalities. A highlight for the more advanced students is a professional audition for top agents and casting directors.
Camp Destiny alumni include Diana DeGarmo, runner-up on "American Idol;" Mandy Moore, actress and recording star; Chris Lowell, series regular on "Veronica Mars"; Kyle Massey, star of "Cory In The House" on Disney Channel; Justin Martin, currently on Broadway in "The Lion King;" Michelle Kittrell, currently playing in "Legally Blonde" on Broadway.
AWP Artistic Director Lynn Stallings, a former Chattanoogan, has performed in more than 100 commercials, television shows, and radio dramas.
