Tuesdays in Alpharetta just got a bit smoother. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., there's a jazz party at Pisces Seafood and Jazz, 4120 Old Milton Parkway. DJ Dave Kosh from WJZZ, 107.5 FM, emcees, introducing the talents of Japanese keyboardist Madoca. In her honor, the chefs offer specials on sushi and sake. Nibble on rolls of coconut shrimp tempura, black pepper steak or fried lobster tail along with martinis, hot and cold sake and, for those who can't decide, sake martinis. The bar also uncorks select bottles of wine at half-price.

Another Tuesday attraction: The Atlanta Wine Club gathers for meetings, so guests can drop by their table and find out more about the group.

During the rest of the week, the restaurant offers a range of specials created by new executive chef Joseph Chin Loy. A native of Jamaica, Chin Loy is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., and a veteran of several area restaurants, including Sushi Nami in Alpharetta and Bluepointe in Buckhead. Among his additions to the menu are pan-roasted Chilean sea bass, grilled Cajun tuna and an 8-ounce filet with shrimp scampi. Pisces is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Mondays-Fridays. Dinner is served from 5 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays. Sunday brunch begins at 11 a.m. 770-475-0057; www.piscesseafoodandjazz.com.
